A groundbreaking company in the space industry is seeking an experienced Storekeeper to manage inventory systems. You will be responsible for managing stock control and ensuring effective communication with the Manufacturing Team. Candidates should have over 3 years of experience in inventory/warehouse roles, knowledge of workshop tools, and skills in compliance with safety standards. We are working with a groundbreaking company in the space industry who are seeking an experienced Storekeeper to manage their inventory systems.

The Manufacturing Storekeeper will take complete ownership for all store related activities and ensure all stock, tooling and work materials etc are stored appropriately.

The successful candidate will provide key support to the Manufacturing Team and so effective communication skills are crucial. Main tasks will involve ensuring accurate inventory levels, equipment control and maintenance of current tools and machinery

Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Responsible for managing storeroom, including monitoring of stock control
  • Off-loading and loading deliveries to/from the workshop/ stores area
  • Organising stock and maintaining an established systemic way of storing and retrieving items to maximise workshop space and access
  • Maintaining accurate stock levels in line with our ERP system
  • Operating and upgrading current workshop storeroom systems to enable to growth
  • Picking and delivering line side stock
  • Picking and packing outgoing stock deliveries
  • Creating essential tooling kits and documentation, confirming all items are accounted for daily
  • Complying with 6S Lean standards to ensure a high standard of safety and efficiency
  • 3+ years of experience in an inventory/warehouse/engineering role
  • Knowledge of standard workshop tools and their operation
  • Knowledge of occupational safety hazards related to general workshop operations
  • Effective communication skills, coordinating daily with other teams to ensure results are achieved
  • Impeccable administration, diligence, and organisation skills
  • Experience of prioritising tasks to save time and improve efficiency
  • Experience of adjusting to changing demands and positively challenging existing ways of working
  • Experienced Forklift driver
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Experience of PAT testing
  • Knowledge of effective material handling processes
