Job summary

Rise Resourcing seeks an experienced General Manager / Site Manager to lead a multi‑department manufacturing operation in North Manchester for an SME. You will report to the board and sit on the SLT, taking overall responsibility for site performance across production, warehouse, laboratory and maintenance.

You will deliver improvements in productivity, quality, cost, delivery and safety, embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Proven manufacturing operations experience.
Three years in a senior multi-department leadership role.
Experience delivering improvements in cost, quality, productivity or delivery.
Knowledge of health and safety, compliance and site management.

Responsibilities

Lead department heads across production, warehouse, and site maintenance, setting objectives and KPIs.
Oversee site planning, production scheduling, stock control and delivery performance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives with measurable savings and efficiency gains.
Manage site budgets, labour planning, maintenance programmes and capex.
Ensure health and safety, regulatory compliance and environmental requirements.
Support audits (quality systems ISO 9001) and supplier/customer audits.
Develop and coach the leadership team and drive cross-functional collaboration.
