Job summary

IWFM in Workington, Cumbria, is seeking an experienced Engineering Site Facilities Manager to oversee site services, utilities, buildings and infrastructure at a manufacturing site. You will ensure statutory compliance, reliable delivery of utilities and effective facilities maintenance.

Working with Engineering and Production, you will lead internal teams and contractors, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets and CMMS records to maximise asset availability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing facilities experience preferred.
• Experience leading teams and managing contractors.
• Knowledge of site utilities, buildings and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities and engineering services meet statutory, regulatory and safety requirements.
• Oversee utilities supply and distribution (refrigeration, water, compressed air, electricity).
• Maintain buildings and infrastructure to meet food safety, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Manage engineering stores and stock control practices.
• Lead internal teams, external service providers and contractors.
• Support Engineering and Production to maximise asset availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Ensure CMMS records are accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and analyse downtime and root-cause issues.
• Promote health, safety, hygiene, quality and waste-reduction initiatives.
• Drive energy-efficiency initiatives and building energy performance standards.
• Manage the facilities/engineering services budget and train the site services team.
