Job summary

Yeo Valley Organic is seeking a shift supervisor to lead a 24/7 operation, ensuring safe, stable, and well‑controlled shifts with clear ownership and effective handovers.

The role operates on a 4 on 4 off permanent day shift (06:00–18:00) and focuses on embedding standards, driving continuous improvement, and supporting site performance and stability. Experience in FMCG with HACCP/COSHH credentials is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with lean/continuous improvement in FMCG.
• Root cause analysis experience in complex FMCG environments.
• Certifications in HACCP, food safety, and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, stable, and well‑controlled shift operations.
• Provide leadership, clear ownership, and escalation of issues.
• Ensure strong handovers with no loss of critical information.
• Embed standards and drive continuous improvement across the site.

So, what will I be doing?

This role plays a critical part in maintaining 24/7 operational performance, embedding standards, and providing strong leadership, visibility, and decision-making outside of normal day‑shift support. The role is full time permanent offering an opportunity to develop leadership capability while supporting site performance and stability.

You will work a 4 on 4 off permanent day shift pattern, beginning work at 0600 and finishing at 1800.

Essential

• Short Shelf life/high risk / Dairy category experience preferred.
• Proven experience of lean/ root cause in complex FMCG organisations
• HACCP level 2
• Food safety level 3 Desirable:
• HACCP Level 3
• COSHH qualification
