Job Description: Manufacturing Services Technician - Coppersmith

Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Manufacturing Services Technician - Coppersmith. The role focuses on supporting the Manufacturing Services Leader and engineer to achieve organizational objectives. Responsibilities include manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining experimental engines, assets, and production equipment in various facilities.

Responsibilities
  1. Produce pipes and fabrications for test beds, rigs, and development engines.
  2. Manufacture high-pressure flexible hoses and metaflex.
  3. Shed stainless pipework systems.
  4. Program mandrel pipe bender and water jet cutter.
  5. Coordinate activities with production staff, communicating regularly with leaders and operators.
  6. Read and interpret machinery drawings, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues to meet customer requirements.
  7. Operate site-specific equipment safely after appropriate training.
Candidate Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant apprenticeship.
  • Understanding of fabrication machinery principles and operation.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Knowledge of HSE standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings.
