Position: Manufacturing Scientist - EEM Technical Services

Location: Hybrid - Speke, Liverpool

Client: Global Pharmaceutical

Planet Pharma are partnered with a global pharmaceutical company specialising in pharmaceutical drug development as well as animal health, our client is currently looking for a Manufacturing Scientist Associate - EEM Technical Services, for a initially 12 months contract, with majority of the time based in the office in Liverpool.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in packaging processes and materials
  • Represent TSMS in cross-functional process team meetings
  • Oversee change management activities
  • Maintain key manufacturing documentation (e.g., SOPs, MPRs)
  • Write and support technical reports and process metrics
  • Visit contract manufacturers to assess performance and resolve technical issues
  • Ensure control strategies are in place for assigned products
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to Annual Product Reviews (APRs) / Product Quality Reviews (PQRs)
  • Prepare technical position papers for regulatory or internal use
  • Manage product and process transfers from a technical support perspective
  • Assist with investigations into deviations and product complaints
  • Support new product introductions and tech transfers
  • Act as main technical contact for assigned contract manufacturers

Main Requirements:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in life sciences or engineering
  • Fluent in English and one other European
  • 5+ years in pharma or chemical production, technical services, or packaging
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and regulations
  • Skilled in applied statistics and data-driven problem solving
  • Experienced in tech transfer and managing manufacturing-scale projects
  • Effective communicator with strong project and team management skills
  • Proficient in writing technical reports and GMP-compliant documentation
  • Willing and able to travel on short notice when needed
