Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth offers a 12-month Manufacturing Scheduling Placement, giving you hands-on exposure to production control, scheduling and supply chain management within a world‑leading Formula 1 environment.

You’ll work with ERP SAP processes, manage materials and lead-times, and report progress to stakeholders. Ideal candidates are organised, analytically minded and capable of building strong cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Production Control & Scheduling: manage production orders and align demand with shop floor capacity.
• Supply Chain Management: coordinate materials, monitor lead times and subcontractor relationships.
• Reporting & Data Management: use Excel to schedule, track progress and provide updates in the ERP system.
• Business Integration: collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Programme Management and Procurement.

In Manufacturing we face the challenge of turning highly IP sensitive, engineering designs into precision components, in a high pressure, fast-paced environment. Managing the resources, people and stakeholders during these challenges is the key to delivering performance and translating that into success.As a Manufacturing Scheduling Placement student, you’ll see first-hand the breadth of engineering within Formula 1. This role is central to ensuring designs move from concept to finished parts in world-leading timescales. You’ll gain exposure to supply chain management, production control, and reporting - supporting the decisions that keep programmes on track. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring deadlines are met and that the manufacturing team operates efficiently.- Production Control & Scheduling – Managing production orders, prioritising workloads, and ensuring alignment between demand and shop floor capacity.- Supply Chain Management – Coordinating material availability, monitoring lead times, and managing subcontractor relationships to support business requirements.- Reporting & Data Management – Using Excel skills to schedule, track progress, and provide accurate updates to stakeholders, whilst maintaining accurate inventory levels in our ERP system (SAP).- Business Integration – Working with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Programme Management, and Procurement to ensure smooth workflow across functions.What we’re looking for- Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a focus on delivery.- A personable approach, able to build effective working relationships across teams.- Resilience and adaptability to maintain productivity when under pressure.- Comfortable with basic Excel skills.
