Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking an organised SAP Purchasing Administrator for a 14-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on ensuring timely availability of essential components by procuring materials and managing lead times, batch sizes, and vendor performance.

You will operate from East Kent locations (Canterbury, Deal, Margate, Sandwich, Ramsgate, Dover, Herne Bay, Whitstable, Faversham, Sittingbourne, Folkestone) and use SAP to optimise inventory and planning.

• Experience in purchasing within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Procure a range of materials, manage batch sizes, lead times and vendor performance.
• Use SAP to optimise inventory levels and streamline material planning.
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Ops and Customer Service to minimise backlogs and ensure part availability.
• Support forecasting to align supply with demand.
• Track and expedit e purchase orders and produce vendor performance reports.
