TE Connectivity Corporation in Hastings, United Kingdom, seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer (f/m/d) to inspect parts, materials and products, document results and maintain records. You will support KPI achievement and update inspection plans, procedures and SOPs, focusing on quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate has experience with mechanical measurement, reading engineering drawings (BS308), familiarity with SAP, and strong technical English.

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings (BS308).

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections of purchased parts, materials, sub-assemblies or finished products using inspection plans and measurement equipment.
• Documents inspection and test results in a traceable manner in databases or internal systems.
• Maintains controlled document files and test records timely and accurately.
• Monitors inspection equipment and ensures calibration upkeep.
• Assists in creating/updating inspection plans, test procedures, and SOPs.
• Initiates Vendor Non-conformance reports and collaborates to resolve issues.
• Contributes to KPI targets and complies with health and safety regulations.

Job Title: Manufacturing Quality Engineer (f/m/d)

Job Description:

To carry out inspection and testing to ensure that received products fulfil TE or customer specifications and requirements. To work in ensuring that the various Quality team's KPI's and Processes, are met and maintained in the support of production and customer service.

Your main tasks

• Performs inspections of purchased parts, materials, sub-assemblies or finished products according to inspection plans using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurement equipment
• Document inspection and test results in traceable manner in a database or other internal programs.
• Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
• Monitor inspection and test equipment to ensure proper operation and use of calibrated equipment.
• Assist in creating / updating of inspection plans, test procedures, SOPs for the incoming inspection function
• Initiate Vendor Non-conformance reports as required. Work with other company personnel to address inspection issues, questions
• Achieve KPI targets based on FY goals:
  • To assist in other Quality Department activities as reasonably requested from time to time.
  • To observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.

Your ideal background

• Good understanding and ability to use MS Office pro grammes (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must be familiar with mechanical measurement tech niques and be able to use electrical and mechanical measuring equipment.
• Must be capable of reading engineering drawings (i.e., BS308).
• Previous use of SAP would be an advantage
• A good understanding of Technical English and good communication skills
• Good general education to GCSE level.
• Mechanical Engineering or similar technical qualifica tions is advantageous.
