Summary
The Manufacturing - Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality production standards, and maintaining compliance with industry and company quality regulations. This role bridges the gap between engineering design and manufacturing by ensuring efficient, scalable, and high-quality production.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Engineering:
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, processes, and tooling.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with design engineers on manufacturability and process design.
  • Lead new product introduction (NPI) processes to ensure smooth transition from development to production.
  • Specify and procure production equipment and tooling.
Quality Engineering:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and inspection processes.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues (root cause analysis, CAPA).
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits in accordance with ISO 9001-14001, or other relevant standards.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as control plans, FMEAs, and PPAPs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality and reliability.
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Able to comprehend and follow technical documents and/or literature
  • Familiar with the latest available tools or standards, as well as industry techniques and practices to solve technical problems
Required Certifications and Training
  • Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility.
Experience Level with Business Tools
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
