Job summary

Wipac Technology Ltd in Buckingham is seeking a Quality professional to lead APQP/BEON/PPAP activities and ensure BEON/PPAP targets are met across new product introductions.

You will coordinate with Customer Quality, Project Management, Testing and Engineering, maintain quality documentation and report weekly/monthly metrics.

Desirable technical degree (HNC), strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to operate from shop floor to director level.

  • Co-ordination of APQP activities leading across all new product introductions and overseeing BEON/PPAP release status of all customer released products.

Responsibilities

  • Implement procedures in line with the Business Management System (BMS) and external audits.
  • Update in-house systems and procedures to satisfy certification bodies.
  • Assist internal process and product audits of the BMS.
  • Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate.
  • Respond to customer complaints with containment actions, analysis, and corrective countermeasures.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
  • Report customer claim status and align with Wipac voice.
  • Update quality documentation and capture lessons learned.
  • Ensure systems and procedures meet customer requirements and audits.
  • Establish and refine quality sign-off instructions and documentation.
  • Report against quality metrics weekly and monthly.
  • Support manufacturing with quality issues and scrap reduction programs.
  • Attend meetings to drive action plans for quality improvements.
  • Produce written reports and presentations.
  • Support engineering change processes to meet quality deliverables.
  • Manage customer PPAP submissions per BEON/PPAP requirements.

Job description

Implement all relevant procedures described in the Business Management System (BMS) and ensure compliance.

Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised, and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies.

Assist in the internal process and product audits of the Business Management System (BMS).

Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate.

Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures for external or internal issues.

Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.

Reporting to the customer the status of customer claims and ensuring alignment between the customers and Wipac voice.

Update quality documentation and communicate any carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns.

Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits.

Establish and refine quality sign-off instructions, standards, and documentation.

Report against agreed quality metrics on a weekly and monthly basis.

Support on quality-related issues with the manufacturing and Wipac team

Support the scrap reduction programs in line with the business targets.

Support regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving quality.

Attend various meeting and action/communicate instructions.

Produce written reports and make presentations.

Support the engineering change process ensuring the quality deliverables are met.

Responsible for customer PPAP submissions to customer and Wipac requirements.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Desirable technical degree minimum HNC.
