Job Description:

Leonardo is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to develop a new production area within our Communication Systems team. The role involves defining production methods and systems, focusing on Lean Manufacturing methodologies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position offers growth potential as the business sector expands.

The role is primarily site-based, working across functions, with flexible working arrangements and opportunities for remote work.

Responsibilities include collaborating with business teams to translate requirements into manufacturing plans, developing material schedules, and managing resources. The role encompasses all aspects of production, including engineering, planning, and continuous improvement, to optimize solutions for the business unit.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience with manufacturing systems and practices such as capacity planning, factory layout, WIP & inventory management, problem solving, output planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ability to lead operational excellence and continuous improvement teams.
  • Experience in the defence sector.
  • Experience with MRP systems, preferably SAP.
