Job description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Project Manager to join our team. The role involves supporting Programme Managers and the Manufacturing Management Team to define, plan, direct, and deliver manufacturing projects/contracts aligned with business targets through rigorous cost control and schedule adherence. The manager will also handle stakeholder interfaces, including internal customers, and ensure accurate reporting of project progress.

Role: Manufacturing Project Manager

Pay: Up to 33 per hour Umbrella

Location: Bolton

Contract: Monday - Friday, 37 Hours per week, 12 Months Contract

IR35 Status: Inside

Security Clearance: BPSS to start with SC to follow

Responsibilities

1. Ownership of Manufacturing Work Packages from a cost, schedule, and quality perspective.
2. Planning, facilitating, and supporting the success of large-scale contracts throughout the product lifecycle.
3. Developing and maintaining key relationships with internal customers and subcontractors.
4. Ensuring accurate reporting of project performance and interpreting requirements back to manufacturing.
5. Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of contract risk and opportunity plans/budgets.
6. Communicating project requirements to a multi-disciplined team to ensure successful delivery.
7. Playing a key role in tendering and bidding activities for future business acquisition.

Essential Experience

1. Project Management Qualifications.
2. 3-4 years as a Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering fixed-cost programs of significant value within a matrix organization.
3. Experience in an engineering or production environment is preferred.
4. Experience using project management tools and methodologies.
5. Strong communication skills, capable of building relationships and leading multi-functional teams under tight deadlines.
6. Enthusiastic, proactive, and tenacious, with the ability to prioritize and understand strategic business needs alongside tactical decisions.
7. Practical application of project management skills in relevant business contexts.
