Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are supporting a growing subcontract manufacturer based in Dundee in their search for a Manufacturing Project Engineerwho are strong in New Production Introduction to support their electromechanical production facility. This is a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on how products move from design into scalable, efficient production.
Manage the full project lifecycle from design handover to production completion.
Develop robust manufacturing documentation – routings, timings, BOMs & work instructions using ERP/MRP tools.
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks using Lean & Six Sigma methods.
Optimise production processes for cost, efficiency, and repeatability.
Liaise across internal departments – including design, production, and quality – to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
Support customer discussions to refine design for manufacturability.
Lead ongoing improvements in workflow, cycle times, and tooling requirements.
Degree-qualified in Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
Circa 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or project engineering role - with ability to take a lead & ownership on projects.
Experience with ERP or MRP systems for planning and costing.
Solid understanding of technical drawings and production documentation.
Knowledge of Lean methodologies; Six Sigma experience (Green Belt a bonus).
Practical, solutions-oriented mindset with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
