Just Recruitment is recruiting for a Manufacturing Project Engineer for a company based in Braintree, Essex.
You will be responsible for planning, leading and executing manufacturing projects, including new product introductions, process improvements, equipment installations, and facility upgrades and collaborating with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Production, Supply Chain) to ensure successful project execution.
Duties include:
Become a technical lead for a multitude of various technologies, machines, and value streams to assist Process Primes in the development and improvement of processes within the production environment.
Project manage capital equipment projects from justification through to implementation.
Manage tooling and fixture design and manufacture, to support production needs.
Lead Process Capability, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities within the Manufacturing environment.
Carry out measurement systems analysis, using type 1 and type 2 studies on gauging and measurement systems to improve gauge R&R.
Be an integral part of a design team helping to brainstorm ideas and help facilitate actions by carrying out CAD modelling, concept refinement and procurement activities.
Skills required:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing engineering or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or project engineering role (preferably in a related industry, e.g. automotive)
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimisation techniques.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and project management tools (e.g. MS Project)

Monday - Thursday:7.30am - 4.00pm
Friday: 7.30am - 3.00pm
