Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking Manufacturing Operatives for a Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm PM shift in Bedford. This full-time, Temp-to-Perm role offers a pay rate of £14.41 to £16.00 per hour and requires GCSEs in Maths and English, plus strong attention to detail.

Ideal candidates are reliable, adaptable and able to follow SOPs and produce accurate production records. Training is provided for those with prior manufacturing experience, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Mathematics and English.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A reliable and responsible approach with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced production environment.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is desirable, although full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture precision products while following strict specifications and quality standards.
• Follow documented work instructions and SOPs to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Complete production records, process documentation, and quality checks accurately.
• Record any process issues or deviations and escalated concerns where required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, housekeeping, and time management in line with procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production updates, equipment concerns, and any issues affecting performance.
