Job summary

Proactive Global in Bedford is seeking Manufacturing Operatives for a Monday to Friday 2:00pm – 10:00pm PM shift. This full-time, temporary-to-permanent role involves producing precision products to strict specifications, following SOPs and completing production records.

Candidates should have GCSEs in Maths and English, an eye for detail, strong communication, and a reliable approach. Training is provided, with progression opportunities in a specialist manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Mathematics and English.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A reliable and responsible approach with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced production environment.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing, production environment is desirable, although full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture precision products while following strict specifications and quality standards.
• Follow documented work instructions and SOPs to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Complete production records, process documentation, and quality checks accurately.
• Record any process issues or deviations and escalate concerns where required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, housekeeping, and time management in line with procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production updates, equipment concerns, and any issues affecting performance.
