About the job

Exciting new role! We are recruiting for a trusted client involved in the production of carbon-ceramic material based in Merseyside.

The client is looking to add Process Engineers to the team.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead scheduled maintenance on Heat Treatment furnaces, including retort repairs, rebuilds, and graphite heating system repairs.
  • Support and drive re-engineering projects, ensuring regular checks and inspections of furnaces.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS or other tools.
  • Drive furnace rebuilds and re-engineering projects.
  • Perform safety system checks and verify performance.
  • Monitor and report SAT and TUS test results.
  • Ensure furnace operation complies with standards with qualified resources.
  • Follow SOP and WI, updating as necessary, including FMEA's.
  • Set targets for heat treatment asset performance and efficiency.
  • Support commissioning and acceptance of new equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Engage in process optimization and improvement.
  • Analyze data and monitor performance.
  • Conduct process modeling, simulation, and control systems management.
  • Apply statistical analysis and quality tools.
Qualifications:

Degree in materials, heat treatment, or process engineering with 5 years of experience in advanced process and heat treatment equipment, rebuilding, refurbishment, and maintenance.

Experience in automotive or aerospace manufacturing/heat treatment industry is required.

Hours:

Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 2.30pm (flexibility required).
