About the job

We are currently recruiting for a trusted client involved in the production of carbon-ceramic material based in Merseyside. They are looking to add additional Process Engineers to their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage scheduled maintenance on Heat Treatment furnaces, including retort repairs, rebuilds, and graphite heating system repairs.
  • Support re-engineering projects and ensure regular checks and inspections of furnaces.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using company systems.
  • Drive furnace rebuilds, re-engineering projects, and performance improvements.
  • Perform safety system checks and condition monitoring.
  • Ensure operation in accordance with standards, SOPs, and WI, and support updates.
  • Set targets for furnace performance and efficiency.
  • Support commissioning and acceptance of new equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
  • Optimize processes and analyze data for performance monitoring and improvements.
  • Implement process modeling, control systems, and quality tools.
Qualifications:

Degree in materials, heat treatment, or process engineering with at least 5 years of experience working on advanced process and heat treatment equipment, including rebuilding and maintenance. Experience in automotive or aerospace manufacturing/heat treatment industry is required.

Benefits:

Attractive package. Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 2.30pm (flexibility required).
