Bournville Manufacturing is the home of Cadbury's confectionery, and we are now hiring for a key role to lead the performance of the production operations in the Plant.

This role focuses on performance improvement through loss eradication, providing expert knowledge on process and efficiency improvements across SQCDM. You will work with shift-based teams, PE’s, Engineering Managers, and wider stakeholders to win the month and the year.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, executing, and owning the long-term efficiency improvement plan for areas/lines across SQCDM.
  • Understanding all losses and driving GE improvement plans, including waste reduction workstreams.
  • Collaborating with PEs, Shift Leads, and Engineering Managers to deliver GE chronic loss workstreams.
  • Driving IL6S within areas/lines through relevant work systems, tools, coaching, and support.
  • Managing Autonomous Maintenance progress, ensuring compliance with systems like CIL, Defect Handling/Tagging, and Centerline, including audits and timely closure of actions.
  • Owning production plans for short and long-term planning, working with the HUB team to maximize delivery.
  • Reducing planned downtimes such as changeovers, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Developing and owning a productivity roadmap to deliver cost savings.
  • Providing operational input into capital projects and investments with the BD&E team.
  • Leading investigations of incidents and near misses, sharing lessons learned.
  • Managing daily processes and labor to deliver the production plan alongside Shift Leaders.
  • Line management of Process Engineers.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Strong operational and manufacturing leadership experience in the Manufacturing/Food Manufacturing/FMCG industry, with knowledge of TPM, 5S, LEAN, 6 Sigma tools and concepts.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills, with abilities in analytics and problem-solving.
  • Engineer with strong financial and business acumen, project management skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
