Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Manufacturing Operator (DOT) for the EngineTest department in Daventry, UK. This temporary contract runs up to 24 months and offers a 37.5 hour work week with a weekly rotating shift pattern. Shifts include Morning 7:00am–3:00pm and Afternoon 3:00pm–11:00pm (Fri 3:00pm–10:30pm).

Job description

We are looking for talented Manufacturing Operator (DOT) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our EngineTest department at Cummins in Daventry, UK.

This role is a temporary contract for up to 24 months with the potential to become permanent dependent based on performance and business needs.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Weekly rotational shift pattern

• Morning shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm

• Afternoon shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm; Friday, 3:00pm – 10:30pm

The job involves preparation of production engines for test ranging from 38 to 78 ltr. Prepare engines ready for trim when test is complete.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Ensure quality standards meet the requirements of the business

• Report on supervision of any problems within the work stage

• Liaise with supervision on all aspects affecting the smooth running of the operation

• To be flexible within DOT as appropriate, dependent on volume and priority

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Previous assembly or factory experience

• Strong mechanical background

• Ability to work under their own initiative within the recognised process

• Ability to self-manage in order to achieve production targets

Education/ Experience:
