Job summary

First Base in Tewkesbury is seeking a reliable Manufacturing Operative to join the production team. You will operate machinery and assist with component production, following quality and safety procedures with full training provided.

The role runs a double day shift (6.00am–2.00pm and 2.00pm–11.53pm on alternating weeks). After approximately 12 weeks, the hourly rate rises. Attendance, teamwork and a proactive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Good attitude towards work and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Locate and prepare materials and tooling.
• Operate a range of production machinery.
• Set and operate machinery in line with production requirements.
• Follow production paperwork and work instructions.
• Inspect your own work to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Use materials, parts, machinery and tooling correctly.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Carry out manual handling of tools and moulds.
• Use sprays, solvents and cleaning agents where required.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards.
• Work flexibly across different areas of production.
• Help minimise waste and reduce scrap.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Location: Tewkesbury

Salary: £15.68 per hour, rising to £16.02 per hour after approximately 12 weeks

A well-established manufacturing business in Tewkesbury is looking for reliable and motivated Manufacturing Operatives to join their production team.

Working as part of the manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for operating machinery and producing components in line with company quality and health and safety procedures. Full training will be provided, with the opportunity to increase your hourly rate once fully trained and signed off.

The Role
