Job summary

MET Recruitment UK Ltd is recruiting for our client in Swadlincote for General Operatives. This long-established manufacturing business serves the construction industry with modern facilities since 1989.

Shifts are permanent afternoons 2pm - 10.30PM Monday - Thursday and Friday 2PM - 8PM. Rate of Pay £13.10ph - overtime opportunities available. Temp - Perm opportunities after 13 weeks for the right candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing machinery and production equipment including press machines and guillotine.
• Loading and unloading materials safely.
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Support team members to achieve production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating manufacturing machinery and production equipment - including press machines & industrial guillotine working across a number of departments.
• Loading and unloading materials safely
• Assisting with fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes
• Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Supporting team members to achieve production targets
