Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Sandwich, Kent (MUST be a driver and have your own vehicle due to location and shift times)

Salary: £28,100

Hours: 4 on 6am - 6pm, 4 off, 4 on 6pm - 6am, 4 off

To run machinery within the production area to complete production orders. Also to carry out quality checks on manufactured products.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
Set up production equipment and ensure sufficient supplies ready for production.
Operate equipment safely and effectively.
Ensure that equipment is maintained and in good and safe working condition.
Perform regular equipment maintenance, with the help of the engineering department.
Provide assistance to other staff members.
Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
Perform visual quality checks on manufactured products.
Record machine data on a verification sheet, addressing any anomalies.
Carry our strip and cleans on all production lines.
Operate forklift trucks to transfer raw materials and finished goods.
Contribute to waste management programs.
Identify non-conforming materials and segregate.
Communicate testing status and results.

Experience and skills required for this position:
Experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience within quality setting would be ideal but not essential.
Effective communication skills.
Be self motivated and keen to learn.
Be results orientated.
Have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
