Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting for a hands-on Manufacturing Operative in Basingstoke to support the production and packaging of Dehydrated Culture Media products. The role is onsite, with a weekly 40-hour schedule and a 12-month full-time contract.

You will work to_batch procedures and participate in daily targets in a busy, process-driven environment. Applicants should be reliable, safety-focused and detail-oriented.

Qualifications

• Follow procedures and record data accurately.
• Use basic IT tools including email and computer systems.
• Physically fit for manual handling and lifting bags.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and package products to set procedures and quality standards.
• Complete batch paperwork/records and print labels.
• Use correct materials and equipment for each product run.
• Update SAP after tasks are completed.
• Maintain training records in the quality system.
• Attend daily team meetings and work to daily targets.
• Report safety concerns or issues immediately.

Manufacturing Operative

Location: Basingstoke, RG24 (onsite)

Pay: £13.46 per hour + 20% shift allowance

Hours: 40 hours/week

Shifts: Weekly rotation 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00

Contract: 12 months, full-time

We're recruiting for a leading microbiology manufacturing site in Basingstoke. This is a hands-on production role within a busy, process-driven environment, supporting the manufacture and packaging of Dehydrated Culture Media products.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacturing and packaging products to set procedures and quality standards
• Completing batch paperwork/records and printing labels
• Using the correct materials and equipment for each product run
• Updating SAP after tasks are completed
• Maintaining training records in the quality system
• Attending daily team meetings and working to daily targets
• Reporting any safety concerns or issues immediately

What we're looking for

• Good attention to detail; able to follow written instructions and record data accurately
• Basic IT skills (comfortable using a computer and email)
• Physically fit for manual handling, including lifting 25kg bags
• Manufacturing/production experience helpful but not essential (training provided)
• Reliable, safety-focused and quality-driven
• Safety boots required (PPE provided by the client)
