POST: Manufacturing / Mechatronics Engineering Apprentice

LOCATION: Toome

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor

CORE HOURS:Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 4:00pm

About the role

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery

  • Work with automated systems, robotics, and PLCs

  • Help troubleshoot and maintain mechatronic systems to ensure optimal performance

  • Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing and automated systems

  • Support production teams to resolve technical issues

  • Support the installation of new equipment or systems in the workplace

  • Follow workplace safety procedures and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations

  • Willingness to learn, be motivated and enthusiastic.

  • Able to demonstrate good technical awareness and attention to detail.

  • A team worker with good organisational, leadership & communicating skills.

  • Attend classroom-based learning sessions for theoretical knowledge

  • Participate in training and certification programs offered as part of the apprenticeship
