Hengoed, South Wales

Full Time, Permanent.

08:30- 17:00 Monday to Friday

£65,000- £70,000 + Enhanced Pension + Bonus + Private Healthcare + Life Insurance

We are currently looking for an experienced manufacturing manager to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

Direct reports: 75 (Production Shift Managers, Line Leaders etc)

Reporting to: Manufacturing Director/Senior Operations Manager

The role:

  • Lead the production/manufacturing function by ensuring optimal quality, safety, and productivity in alignment with established standards, through effective team leadership.
  • Achieving manufacturing goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, actively implementing new lean/continuous improvement processes.
  • Actively collaborate with colleagues in identifying, developing, and implementing innovative manufacturing practices.
  • Demonstrate full commitment to the Energy Management System by conducting regular reviews, allocating necessary human, technological, and financial resources, and ensuring energy objectives and targets are clearly defined and met.
  • Promote clear and effective communication of objectives, KPIs, and performance against targets across the organization.

The Requirements:

  • Degree qualified, ideally in a relevant technical/engineering field i.e. mechanical, electrical, process etc
  • Experience working within automotive or FMCG (desirable)
  • Previous experience leading a multi faceted production/manufacturing function
  • Experience of lean/cellular production
  • Knowledge and experience of operational tools such as 6 Sigma, OEE, TPM 5s Kaizen, SPC and Kanban is preferred
  • Experience of developing & implementing cost effective methods and techniques
  • Proven experience of being able to identify quality and efficiency improvements and follow through to completion
