Job description

What will I be doing?

The Cannington site is central to our strategy to expand the Yeo Valley brand and promote good food for all. It is home to our rapidly growing pouch and bottle formats. Key to our success are team engagement and improving efficiencies, which support our broader company goals.

You will lead the manufacturing team within an 18-month rolling horizon, focusing on enhancing and optimizing operational performance and sharing best practices to deliver the best product, service, and cost efficiency.

As a key member of the Site Leadership Team as Manufacturing Manager, you will influence the site’s strategic direction and oversee the execution of performance improvements through developing high-performing teams, all while supporting and nurturing our cultural journey.

You will inspire and lead teams in an established, distinctive, and ambitious food manufacturing company committed to making great food the right way, forever.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create a culture and environment that enables the site to perform at its highest level, supported by role modeling Yeo Valley’s core values of togetherness, trust, ambition, and distinctiveness.
  2. Contribute to shaping the site vision as part of the senior management team, providing an integrated strategic plan covering people, plant, and process development.
  3. Provide visionary and pace-setting leadership for operations through the development and implementation of High Performing Workplace systems of work.
  4. Collaborate, influence, and align these systems with other departments, sites, and central functions as appropriate.
What do I need?
The Important Things
  • Proven experience within FMCG with a track record of delivering sustainable improvements.
  • Ability to manage revenue and capital budgets effectively.
  • Experience in specifying and managing medium to large-scale projects from conception to completion.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental compliance and standards.
  • Experience in short shelf life/high risk/dairy categories is preferred.
Qualifications
  • A degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • A recognized leadership qualification in Health and Safety is preferred.
