Overview:

A leading food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee and improve production operations at their Glasgow facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in food manufacturing, ideally with exposure to lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across multiple production lines
2. Drive safety, quality, and performance targets in line with site KPIs
3. Implement and embed lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency
4. Manage and mentor shift managers and production teams
5. Monitor and control departmental budgets and resources
6. Collaborate with engineering, technical, and planning teams to ensure smooth operations
7. Lead site initiatives in continuous improvement and OEE tracking

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in a similar Manufacturing Manager or Production Manager role within food manufacturing
2. Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
3. Excellent understanding of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma (certification desirable)
4. Strong knowledge of food safety, compliance, and site H&S practices
5. Ability to analyse production data and implement improvement plans
