Salary: GBP 60,000 - GBP 70,000

Job Overview: Manufacturing Manager / Production Manager

Reporting to the Operations Director, your key tasks include motivating, leading, and engaging a team of approximately 30 staff in a 24/7 (12 on 12 off shift) manufacturing operation. You will foster a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement, overseeing all aspects of production to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of about 30 manufacturing staff, promoting teamwork and excellence.
• Develop strategies to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Manage the department's budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with H&S, Quality, Engineering, R&D, Procurement, and HR to implement best practices and process improvements.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to measure performance.
• Report regularly to senior management on performance and initiatives.

Person Requirements:

• Proven successful track record in a world-class manufacturing environment, with a focus on continuous improvement, quality, and leadership.
• Experience leading teams of 25+ in multi-shift, unionized settings.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes; experience in chemical, labels, print, textiles, food & beverage, industrial consumables, or packaging is advantageous.
• Experience in developing a people-first culture.
• Must be able to commute to Bolton.
