Job summary

KES Solutions UK is recruiting a Maintenance Technician for a well-established manufacturer in Peterlee. The role is permanent, with a rotating two-shift pattern (6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm) and a salary of £38,000-£42,000 per annum.

You will join the engineering team to maintain plant machinery and support production uptime. The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and has hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing, with strong

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Experience with machinery, hand and power tools, and fault finding.
• Good health and safety understanding in an engineering context.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant machinery.
• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Maintain pumps, motors, and control systems.
• Identify breakdowns to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
• Support plant improvements and housekeeping in the engineering department.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to procedures.
