Are you an Engineer looking to get into maintenance with full training on PLCs and clear routes to progress to a senior role, within a long-standing, reputable food manufacturer?

On offer is a Monday-Friday, 3-shift role where you will be given tailored training and guidance to progress your skillset within a food manufacturing environment, allowing you to become a trusted Engineer and play an integral part in this company's future.

In this role you will be performing planned and reactive maintenance to a range of machinery in the factory, working in a small team to fault find on such things as motors, gearboxes, and PLCs. You will be shadowing a senior engineer to increase your knowledge, with plans to progress Engineers to senior positions within a couple of years. You will be on call every 6th weekend.

This food manufacturer is well-known within its industry, supplying retailers such as Morrisons, Costa, and Tesco. They have numerous outlets across the Northwest and are aiming to drastically increase their presence over the next 5 years.

This role would suit an Engineer from a manufacturing, plant, or forces background looking for the next step in their career within a long-standing manufacturer that supply an abundance of training.

The role:

  • Planned and reactive maintenance on food manufacturing machinery
  • Training given on machinery installations and PLCs
  • Clear progression to a Senior Engineer
  • Monday to Friday, 6am-2:30pm, 1:30pm-10pm, 10pm-6:30am, rotating weekly
  • Every 6th Saturday 6am-12pm, on call until 10pm Sunday, then can take an extra day off the following week

The Person:

  • Level 3 electrical qualification with 17th or 18th Edition
  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
