Job description

We’re seeking a Manufacturing Line Leader to join our abattoir manufacturing site. Working closely within a small team, you’ll support and organize the team to ensure the line runs smoothly and achieves targets such as efficiency, yield, cost, waste, and service level.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting colleagues to follow health and safety and food safety training to produce quality, food-safe products.
2. Ensuring the working area is clean and tidy, following good manufacturing practices.
3. Sharing knowledge and training new staff members.
4. Possessing good product and specification knowledge across the range of products within the boning hall for beef.

About you

You’ll be someone who:

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced, physical manufacturing environment with chilled temperatures between 2 and 9 degrees.
• Can comply with health and safety and food safety standards.
• Is flexible, adaptable, and enjoys teamwork.
• Can complete necessary training to meet operational requirements.
• Has understanding of beef slaughter and boning processes, with knife and butchery skills, and is willing to work with raw meat.
