Position: Manufacturing Lead Machinist

Location: 61 Barnes Industrial Park North, Wallingford, CT 06492
CT180 Manufacturing Facility

Shift: Full-time
Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm and 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Overview

As a Full-time Manufacturing Lead Machinist, you will oversee daily shop floor operations and support the growth of the Manufacturing division. You will collaborate with the operations manager, inside sales team, and other lead machinists to schedule machine workloads.

Responsibilities
  1. Support shop operations and ensure quality and timely delivery of products.
  2. Maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to machine operators.
  4. Maintain timecards using the Kronos system.
  5. Ensure a safe working environment.
  6. Communicate effectively across shifts.
Required Qualifications
  1. At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  2. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Strong math skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
  5. Good safety and attendance records.
  6. Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  7. Problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making abilities.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Alignment with core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
  11. Physical ability to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages weighing 25-50 lbs, up to 100 lbs.
  12. Ability to pass the required drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Educational background related to tool and die or machining.
