Position Summary

The candidate will perform tasks in a GMP laboratory setting involving upstream processes (large-scale bioreactors, centrifugation, filtration) and downstream processes (chromatography, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration). The focus will be on downstream processes and related tasks. Responsibilities include maintaining GMP-compliant records related to monoclonal antibody (mAb) production. The ideal candidate exhibits curiosity, willingness to learn, adaptability, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Hours: 1st shift (6:00am – 2:30pm). Weekend work may be required to support manufacturing needs.

Schedule: 5 days/week (Monday – Friday), 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

• Support large-scale biological production campaigns for GMP by performing aseptic purification of mammalian cultures, operation of bioreactors/fermenters, TFF, centrifugation, chromatography, and ultrapurification processes, and cleaning activities.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
• Complete process documentation accurately to ensure product quality and GMP compliance.
• Follow safety policies.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support manufacturing.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: BS in Biological sciences or related field, experience in large-scale production or laboratory settings, strong communication, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, work independently and in teams.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to read and follow instructions, perform basic calculations, troubleshoot, and understand biological principles.
• Knowledge of mammalian cell culture, bioreactors, downstream techniques, and GMP environment. Familiarity with software like Unicorn, DeltaV, SAP is a plus.

Physical Requirements: Exposure to chemicals, fumes, noise, live steam, temperature changes, biohazards, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
