Job summary

Siemens Gamesa, Hull Blade Factory, is seeking a Manufacturing Digitalisation Support professional to ensure reliable operation, continuous improvement, and security of digital tools across the production floor. You will provide first- and second-line IT support, diagnose issues, and minimise downtime while collaborating with production teams, contractors, partners, and IT colleagues.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing digital tools, IT infrastructure, device management, server support, and production system technologies.
• Ability to analyse complex technical issues, identify root causes, and deliver effective solutions in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, and access control processes in industrial settings.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support projects, system changes, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated IT support for production employees, contractors, and business partners, ensuring digital tools, laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and meeting room technologies operate effectively.
• Prepare, deploy, and manage laptops and desktop equipment, including imaging, configuration, handover, and stock management.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues affecting production systems, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
• Support and maintain manufacturing digitalisation tools and technologies, including SECOMEA, VMware, SAP printing, hand scanners, and related shop floor systems.
• Coordinate IT system and process changes with minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
• Contribute to local and strategic IT projects, including AI tool deployment and shop floor technology enhancements.
• Train users, conduct inductions, and deliver support to improve adoption and satisfaction.
• Manage procurement and inventory of IT equipment; support server, camera, and network infrastructure.
