Manufacturing Information Technology Support Lead

Onsite

We have partnered with a leading manufacturing customer in their search for a Information Technology Support Lead. This role requires an individual with extensive technical knowledge who is eager to actively contribute while providing leadership and strategic direction within the team. It could be ideal for someone with previous management or leadership experience, or for a professional seeking the next step in their career.

Role responsibilities and skills:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the factory IT support teams.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to IT team members.
  • Set and implement strategic plans for IT services and infrastructure.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of all corporate computer systems across multiple locations.
  • Deliver reliable IT services primarily for factory operations as part of an IT shared service.
  • Support the deployment and operation of specialist systems and applications.
  • Coordinate the introduction of new systems and applications, working with external partners and internal teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • Ensure systems comply with industry standards, licensing, and security protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Active Directory, Azure, Intune, and Teams.
  • Manage network configurations including LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, and Wi-Fi.
  • Maintain network cybersecurity measures, mitigate security risks, and manage SOC providers.
  • Understand virtual environments such as VMware.
  • Manage company data, backups, and off-site storage solutions.
  • Maintain standards such as TISAX accreditation for information security compliance.
  • Knowledge of MS SQL management and clustering.
  • Hands-on experience with PCs, laptops, and peripherals.
