Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a permanent Facilities Technician in Londonderry to support site facilities and contractor activities within a regulated manufacturing operation. You will help plan and schedule maintenance, coordinate contractors, and provide hands-on support to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the role requires strong organisational skills, practical maintenance knowledge, and a methodical approach to compliance.

Qualifications

• Essential: Engineering or maintenance qualification.
• Essential: Experience in a facilities, maintenance or engineering environment.
• Essential: Understanding of health and safety legislation and safe systems of work.
• Essential: Good organisational and communication skills.
• Essential: Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks.
• Desirable: Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Desirable: Experience coordinating contractors.
• Desirable: Knowledge of compliance documentation and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and scheduling maintenance activities.
• Coordinate contractor visits and service works.
• Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Conduct follow-up inspections to verify completed works.
• Support audits and maintenance record management.
• Assist with facilities-related projects across the site.
• Provide cover for the Facilities Manager during absences.
• Support the wider engineering and facilities teams as required.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety standards.
