Job description

Join to apply for the Manufacturing Engineering Technician role at Honeywell.

We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Honeywell SPS HGAS team in Dorset.

The main purpose of this role is for a Manufacturing Technician capable of assembling, wiring, configuring, and testing both standard and bespoke gas detection systems. You will work closely with the design engineering team and problem solve where required.

**Skills Required:**

  • Electrical/Mechanical assembly experience, minimum of 5 years or 10 years if no vocational qualifications
  • Experience working with electrical/pneumatic systems
  • Cabinet systems integration
  • Ability to test equipment
  • Knowledge of industry, regulatory, and safety standards for cabinet systems integration
  • Wireman skills
  • Cabinet assembly skills
  • General fitter skills
  • Use of power tools

**Education Required:**

  • GCSEs or equivalent
  • National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 (beneficial)

**Responsibilities:**

  • Work with the production team on control system cabinet assembly, including gas detection and network server cabinets
  • Assist with testing of completed systems
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with the quality and workmanship of the finished system
