Are you an experienced Engineering professional with a passion for leadership and continuous improvement? A leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader to join their high-performing team in Burnley. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a globally recognised organisation, supporting cutting-edge aerospace programmes.

The Role

You'll lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers supporting major programmes including A330neo, HTF, Trent, and F7X. This hands-on leadership role involves:

  • Managing and developing a team of engineers, overseeing deployment, skills development, and performance management.
  • Supporting HR policy deployment and attendance management.
  • Driving engineering improvements related to product delivery, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating closely with programme teams to define resource budgets and improvement initiatives.
  • Championing innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
  • Ensuring all activity aligns with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • A bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering, ideally within aerospace or a similar high-precision sector.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience leading teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering economics and how it influences operational performance.
  • A formal leadership qualification.
  • Prior experience within aerospace manufacturing engineering.
