Rolls-Royce plc. is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Factory Methods to define how products will be manufactured within the future production facility and to establish the engineering capability required to support production readiness.

You will lead manufacturing methods development, set the strategy, and coordinate across engineering, supply chain and factory design teams while evolving the team for growth and delivery in a regulated, nuclear-oriented environment.

We're developing innovative small modular reactors, making clean energy more accessible while creating a UK success story with the potential to transform energy systems around the world.The appointment of a **Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Factory Methods** will be a pivotal role at Rolls Royce SMR to **define how products will be manufactured within the future production facility** and **establish the engineering capability required** to support production readiness. You will be reporting to our Senior Manager - Manufacturing Methods and your role will look like,* Provide leadership, direction and governance across manufacturing methods development activities covering modules and pipework* Establish manufacturing strategy and production methodologies.* Coordinate interfaces between engineering, supply chain and factory design teams.* Build organisational capability and support future team growth.We seek an organised and a natural leader who will have had exposure in regulated or **safety‐critical environment**s (as you would expect nuclear \"know-how\" will be of great interest to us, whilst those from defence, aerospace and manufacturing sectors may all have transferable capability).We will need your application to showcase your experience and knowledge in the following areas:* Manufacturing engineering leadership experience.* Complex manufacturing process development.* Team leadership and capability development.* Strong cross-functional stakeholder management.* Industrialisation and DfM expertise.**Location & Ways of Working**This role can be based from our Derby, Manchester or Warrington office. Hybrid working is standard, with regular supplier travel required. Some international travel may also be required depending on supplier activity.
