Overview

A recognised high volume manufacturer is currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering team, setting SMART objectives, providing coaching, mentoring and performance feedback.
  • Ability to improve safety, quality, output, efficiency, quality via the identification and execution of action plans to meet or exceed targets.
  • Leadership for definition, development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation in manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with product/design engineering, production, quality and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product launches and process transfers.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using manufacturing excellence tools (Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Capable of completing cost benefit analysis and generating capital expenditure requests to support site strategic objectives, as well as manage departmental budgets.
  • Monitoring plant and process equipment through production start up and sign off activities.
  • Ensure that Key Performance Indicators, financial spends and engineering activities are communicated effectively.
  • Oversee equipment selection, installation, maintenance and upgrades to ensure safe and efficient operations. Experience with automation/robotics implementation.
