Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Portsmouth is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive the transition of cutting-edge space and defence designs into world-class, manufacturable products.

Reporting directly to the Head of Manufacturing Engineering, you will ensure the design of all make-items aligns with our manufacturing capabilities—meeting strict quality, cost, and schedule requirements while coordinating new capability developments where necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience with high reliability electronics and RF products.
• Familiar with full lifecycle from design to production and reviews.
• Aware of Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, MES, SAP) used in business.
• Experience working in a matrix organisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage New Product Introduction to Manufacturing and Facilities for responsibility areas.
• Deliver Manufacturing Engineering inputs (work instructions, routings, cost models) per processes.
• Identify facility or capability limitations and coordinate resolutions.
• Provide Manufacturing technical support to NCRs/IRBs/PPSs.
