Job summary

EMBS Engineering in Derby is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join its growing precision engineering team. You will collaborate across fabrication and machining cells, quote projects, and help define the most efficient methods of manufacture while supporting New Product Introductions.

The role requires experience interpreting engineering drawings and customer specifications, a strong bias for practical manufacturing know-how, and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Strong practical understanding of how components are manufactured.
• Background in fabrication and machining with a preference for fabrication.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications for efficient manufacture.
• Experience in a precision engineering metallic environment.

Responsibilities

• Track and manage opportunities including RFQs and quotations.
• Collaborate across the factory to determine manufacturing costs for fabrication and machining.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive quotations to customers.
• Oversee initial production run and hand over to production team.
