Job summary

Green Folk is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their Worcestershire team in a full-time, permanent capacity. The role covers documenting and developing manufacturing processes, supporting production across automated cells, CNC machining, welding and fabrication, and driving continuous improvement and cost reduction.

The ideal candidate will hold an HNC/HND or a Degree in Manufacturing Engineering with about 5 years’ experience in precision metal manufacturing, and will contribute

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5 years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in precision metal manufacture.
• Ability to document and develop manufacturing processes and support production.

Responsibilities

• Continuously reduce cost to manufacture through improvement projects and waste reduction.
• Participate in structured problem-solving activities.
• Forecast new technology and provide business direction based on them.
• Contribute to development of new principles and concepts.
• Continuous product and process improvement.
• Introduce new product to set standards and process.
• Maintain and improve performance metrics.
• Support material review boards.
• Problem solving resolution.
• Work to best practice blueprint processes.
• Provide support for manufacturing to improve existing processes.
• Qualify new products on existing manufacturing equipment.
• Create, verify, and release SOPs and EMS for production processes.
• Create, verify, and release programs for manufacturing equipment.
• Support identification and implantation of new manufacturing technology.
• Responsible for program storage, data backups and revision control.
