MBDA UK Ltd is offering an undergraduate manufacturing placement for 2027. The role focuses on close collaboration with design to optimise producibility, with responsibilities including tooling, build instructions, and cost of manufacture on a predominantly on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate studying towards a degree in Physics or Maths or various Engineering degrees (Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems, Electrical/Electronic and General).
• Engineering mindset: ability to translate technical information into practical product builds, identify improvements and cost savings.
• Training in the use of tools will be provided; prior use of Simul8, SAP, Creo and Configuration Control would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Influence producibility of designs and describe how to build products.
• Own tooling, build instructions, and cost of manufacture.
• Oversee industrial validations of production lines and suppliers.
• Provide day-to-day support to operators on the shop floor.
