Manufacturing Engineer - Factory Design & Equipment

Your responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing production areas and manufacturing cells.
  • Identifying factory and cell requirements, creating concepts for review and implementation.
  • Collaborating with process specialists and cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and effective workspaces.
  • Specifying manufacturing equipment, estimating costs, and planning infrastructure and maintenance.

Candidate profile:

  • Proven experience in designing, optimizing, and validating manufacturing and operations workspaces.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, value streams, human factors, and risk assessment.
  • Experience in specifying, acquiring, installing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, including full project lifecycle management.
  • Skilled in managing technical requirements, elicitation, documentation, validation, and change control.
  • Effective communicator across business functions and leadership, capable of conveying technical decisions, risks, and project status.
  • Proficient in 3D modelling tools within PLM environments (e.g., Siemens NX, Process Simulate, Autodesk).
  • Knowledge of value stream optimization using analytical tools, including Discrete Event Simulation (experience with Siemens Plant Simulation is advantageous).
