Job summary

Moog is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes for complex aerospace components at the Tewkesbury site. You will create machining processes, select tools, and produce shop documentation for 5-axis machining.

You will review drawings for manufacturability, support NPI and DfM reviews, and lead process improvement projects while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or process engineering within a precision machining environment.
• Experience with 5-axis milling and mill-turn.
• CAD/CAM programming experience using Siemens NX, CATIA, Mastercam, Edgecam, FeatureCAM, PartMaker or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lean manufacturing processes focused on quality, cost and delivery.
• Create machining processes for complex components with tight tolerances using CAD/CAM software.
• Select cutting tools, design fixtures and produce shop documentation.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including Design for Manufacture (DfM) reviews.
• Lead and support process improvement projects, ensuring minimal downtime within the machine shop.
• Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design changes to enhance productivity and standardisation.
• Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations teams to achieve business objectives.
