Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer to produce accurate designs and technical drawings for fabrication and copper assemblies, aligned with build specs and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Produce accurate manufacturing designs and technical documentation for fabrication and copper assemblies.
• Ensure designs comply with build specifications, company design standards, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Planning, Production, Fabrication, Electrical Engineering, and Copper Cell teams to meet production schedules and delivery targets.
• Create clear technical and assembly drawings to support manufacturing.
• Raise internal purchasing requests for project materials and components.
• Compile project data for invoicing and contract administration.
• Provide technical advice during design reviews and engineering meetings.
• Drive standardisation across engineering designs to reduce waste and minimise rework.
• Champion improvements that increase efficiency, productivity, and quality throughout the design process.
• Promote best practice in CAD‑based engineering and support the ongoing development of engineering standards.
• Ensure compliance with the Business Management System and BS EN ISO 9001 quality management requirements.
• Maintain strong communication with management and report departmental concerns.
• Attend meetings as required and contribute to project delivery.
