Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience

EMBS Engineering is in partnership with a precision engineering company located in Nottingham. Our client specializes in manufacturing precision-engineering components and supplies to a number of lucrative companies worldwide.

Due to expansion, they are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their fast-paced and stimulating working environment.

What will you be doing?
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, identify manufacturing routes/methods, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Create SOPs for manufacturing teams to follow.
  • Support the transfer of work for internal and external manufacturing processes.
  • Continuously improve engineering policies, standards, and procedures.

What experience do you need?
  • Strong engineering background in a precision engineering or advanced manufacturing environment, ideally aerospace, but other industries such as automotive, motorsport, F1, defence, MOD, Marine, etc., will be considered.
  • Ability to create programs using CAD CAM (Catia V5 & Vericut advantageous).
  • Experience in full product ownership and liaising with shop floor personnel to meet targets.
  • Experience in manufacturing small to medium parts through CNC machining processes.
